a getaway for a bit...

coming home after a much needed getaway, though i'm not sure how much of a getaway it really is when the kids come along, almost requires another vacation.  a vacation from your vacation.  i'll be the first to admit that i absolutely abhor unpacking!!
packing is fun...what are you gonna pack...what should you pack??  using what you've packed when you arrive at your destination is fun too.  oh, yeah...forgot i packed this.  and then you come home and have to unpack everything, pray you didn't leave anything behind, wash and put it all away.  ugh!!  i'm exhausted just thinking about it.

i took three days off this week and took my son camping across the border with a really good friend of mine and her two boys.  we went to Birch Bay and stayed at her in laws trailer.  what an adorable trailer and such an awesome place.  between swimming and playing at the park with the kiddies, ok they played while we supervised, we played tennis, had bonfires, ate smores and shopping!  what a great start to what will hopefully be a great summer.

i can't wait to do it again!
