This can be a typical Sunday for me. Jammies, coffee, wandering. Oh! Let's not forget the music! Usually only on days when I have the house to myself (Sunday) I play my awesome music and boogie like no other (not sure if bumping and thumping and looking like a penguin having a seizure constitutes dancing, but meh).
I've been thinking about how I want to make this blog more personal. Though it's great that I can share my photos from my shoots with you fine folks I slowly (and it was painful) realized that this can be so much more! Used for so much more! Have so much more added to it that represents me! It pains me to say that it may not be MY brilliant idea (haha but I'm still doing it) to have a weekly bramble fest, every Sunday, because I can so you can continue to further peek into my life and what I love to do. Sunday will be my day and I shall call it Sunday Madness. A perfect end to the weeks craah-yziness. If you're anything like me so much happens during the week that you need one day (one teeny-weeny day) to recoupe and gather your wits about you in preparation for the next craah-zy week. Sunday will be my day to share with you the stuff that makes up my life :)
Today I will share with you images from a hike the hubby, our son, our roomy and I (and let's not forget the dogs) took one morning. What a beautiful day it turned out to be too! Though weather reports called for clouds and rain (when doesn't it rain in BC?) we had sunshine for pretty much the whole day. Who could ask for anything better?! A simple 30 minute hike ended exactly two and a half hours later! Whew! I was actually sweating (yikes!). Our dogs loved it! Our girls, my girls. For canine friends they make me so happy and make my life so complete. I love waking up to them every morning, correction, I love having them wake me up every morning by placing their heads on the edge of our bed and just starring at us while wagging their tail. Cookie, our chocolate lab has an affection for human ears and believe me nothing beats having a wet soggy tongue shoved in your ear first thing in the morn. Oreo, our black lab stretches and gets so excited (you'd think she hasn't seen us for months) I often call her Spaz and tell her to chill before she has a bloody heart attack. They greet us in the morning. They greet us when we get home from work. They lay beside us when we're down and get excited when we do. They can sense when one of us is about to be sick before we do, looking at us all sad and mournfull. I love to rub behind their ears and pet their bellies. They're my girls, my family, and they're as close to having more kids as we'll ever get.
We started at one end of Jerry Sulina Park and looped around right back where we had started from. Let me just say one thing, Google Maps! Blast you Google Maps! So many times it has sent me to the wrong direction or given me the wrong co-ordinates, I am a terrible navigator to begin with and dealing with Google Maps when it says one thing that is clearly wrong and yet we're supposed to go another makes me hostile. I don't like being lost (well I don't mind it really) but not when I have an eight year old, three dogs, a cranky husband who somehow thinks it's my fault we got lost in the first place and a room mate so tired from work and his young puppy he's ready to pass out. Aack! See why this will be my Sunday Madness? LoL. A chance to let it all out. Deep breath in, deep breath out.
I know what you're thinking, but don't worry, it's only hot chocolate, honest!
Oreo always dive bombs off everything in her over zealous effort to get the "birdie"
Our roommate and our friend with his little dog Tarja. Reminds me of something..."I'll get you my pretty, and your little dog too!"
My two boys, the loves of my life :) :) :)
My son was pretending to be a ninja assassin in the next couple of shots. It's funny but everything is about ninja this or ninja that with him, perhaps it's a boy thing? Whatever happened to Barbie Dolls? I suppose boys and dolls don't mix.
Oh what a day. I can't wait until summer is here and we have more sunshine.
The beginning of Spring and Summer always excites me. In Spring I always feel like my year is finally getting a fresh start, of course it's all metaphoric but seeing buds bloom and blossoms grow always inspires me. In Summer it's almost like..."alright now, getting the hang of this year, let's do our thang". But my absolute favorite season is Autumn. Hellooo gorgeous colors, neautral weather, earth tones, snuggling by a warm fire, hot cocoa and so much more.
The more I talk the more excited about everything I get. Perhaps my post is too long already but I won't apologize, it feels too good to talk about anything to anyone who stumbles upon my words.
Seeing as how it's getting close to Midnight on a Saturday (yes folks I'm pre writing this for tomorrows post as I'll be away most of the day, nothing like being post productive) I really should shut off my jam, brush my teeth and climb into bed.
I'll save more juicy madness for next week.
Till then I bid you goodnight!
Sweet dreams and all that jazz!
Sincerely,
Oana
