BOUDOIR SESSION

Spirits
soared high and nerves, anxieties and bash fullness even higher.
When someone comes up to me and asks if I'll shoot a boudoir session for them I smile and nod.  How could I not shoot them?

Every experience I've had shooting in the bedroom I've watched my clients give their full trust to me and though I'm still a ball of nerves on my drive to the location, I'm also awed at how much at ease we both become just by engaging in conversation during the session.

I love to get to know my clients and absolutely despise the cliched "say cheese" phrase to get them to smile.  I find that by engaging the client in conversation not only puts them completely at ease (and believe me it does show up in the photos) but it also helps to create a bond between client and photographer that just works...really well, not to mention you get the privilege of capturing their true essence.

As I was driving to Tswwassen en route to a client session I couldn't help but feel empowered.  I was carting ALL my props with me, ok maybe not all of them but most of them, jewelery, hats, gloves, flashes and lenses.

Ever since I can remember I have loved to dress people up.  Something about a photo session with you as the photographer gives you the opportunity to bring accessories and make recommendations that you think will work, and people listen and the photos speak for themselves.

Constance gave her full trust in me and for three hours we switched props (outfits) and equipment, shared and chatted over coffee and giggled like school girls while oohing and aahing over her photos.
I watched this lovely woman completely blossom in front of my camera and I'm almost certain that by the end of the day she had more confidence, walked taller and felt sexier than ever before.
I can't even begin to tell you how happy that makes me because there is nothing sexier in the world than someone who is completely confident.
Thank you Darling for letting me share in this moment with you and for reassuring me time and time again that my car was fine where it was parked and it would not get towed away.

Happy two year anniversary and here' s to you, your husband and many more!!

Sexy Boudoir Shoot

When I think of how much fun I have with each and every client during a shoot I can't help but smile.  So many factors play into it.  The weather, the people, personality, equipment, location, nerves and so on and so forth...my point is this.  They all leave a lasting impression on me and I take what I learned during each shoot, to my next one.  I enjoy ALL my clients so very much!

When I did this boudoir shoot for my girlfriend I was a bit nervous.  First because we did the first part of the shoot at night so I had to rely solely on my flash and my trusty Gary Fong LightSphere.  I have studio lights and even though I brought them with me I didn't quite achieve the look I wanted.  For the shots in the bedroom I was literally hiding out inside her closet because it was the best angle I could find and I didn't want to lose that light, so quite literally at the end of the night I came out of the closet :)

For the second set we took our fun downstairs during the afternoon.
I have to admit I fumbled a few times because I was so pleased with what I saw through my lens, not to mention my damp sweaty palms.  I am only human after-all.  I mean look at the pictures!  Her husband will be pleased!  I did however have her convinced I was a true professional and I meant to almost drop my camera lol (not entirely sure I fooled her).

Girl, you totally rocked this shoot!  Classy and sexy as hell.

I just had to start with my absolute fave!!

This one just totally blows me away!  You are gorgeous doll!  So much mystery in her eyes.

Before I had my equipment ready I managed to get a few of her while she was practicing how to pose.  I LOVE candids!  Sometimes I'll lie to my clients and tell them I'm just adjusting my settings and to be themselves but really I'm shooting a mile a minute, those shots are always the best.  Right before and right after :)

She always had such great eye to camera contact.  I LOVED it!!  Her eyes are completely mesmerizing.

Being who I am I just had to sneak one of the silly faces in here.  It completely lightened the mood that she could be serious one moment and goofy the next.  I love clients like that.  I think it makes everyone more comfortable all around.

Trisha | Sexy Boudoir Shoot

This is just a sneak peek of an upcoming amazing boudoir shoot I did.  I say amazing not because I was the photographer or because it was a for a dear friend.  I say amazing because my dear friend rocked her shoot!  She looked and felt confidently amazing which really showed through in her photos and I'm so proud I was able to share in that special moment with her.

When we hear boudoir we often think of nothingness, nakedness and lets face it...sex.  To me boudoir means sexy, classy, a bit of tease that leaves much to the imagination.  Boudoir should not be trampy and Trisha looked so classy that I just had to share a sneak peek with you all.

Unfortunately until she gifts her photos to her husband for his birthday I will not be posting them because I don't want to ruin the surprise, however she said I could sneak in one tiny photo and knowing myself, I just had to!  I mean look at her!!  How could you not?!  :) :)

I can't wait to share the rest!  :)

BOUDOIR

I edited a photo of my sister in law today, a photo that I had taken over two years ago and it's hard to believe it's been two years already.  Believe it or not two years ago I had no idea how I wanted to edit this photo or what to even do with it and tonight, quite literally tonight (1:15am) I couldn't stop playing with it.

She gave birth to my nephew last September whom I haven't seen in person yet but from all the pictures she sends me he's quite literally as attractive as his beautiful mother.
